LOST

Lost, wandering aimlessly
down a million alleyways
not sure of which path to take
minds a maze
lost, with a feeling of no way out

destined to keep walking
directions based on last minute decisions
alone, lost and wondering
if anyone will help me out

My pleas for help echo endlessly
rebounding off the walls that
surround me
not willing to give up yet
hoping someone will guide me
show me the path to take

yet still no-one answers
don't know what to do
am tired of carrying on walking
have tried...but
no-one willing to throw me a life-line

abandoned alone in the dark
the hurt inside carries on growing
