A maze of compromise we've been through,
Past hurt and regret, love guided us to,
A place thought lost, a faraway dream,
You rekindled my smile, an emotion unseen.
A cascade of love, so divine in right,
Gaze into my eyes, a devoted sight.
In emotion you wander, but you're not lost,
Just misplaced in a sense of loving trust,
For I'm the same and it's hard to bear,
But its love we have and it's love we share.
In your arms, my life would thrive,
A consign of time where I feel so alive,
A time too short for distance our enemy,
Without your affection I'm conceivably empty
Please talk to me I'm always there,
Doing my best, for you I swear.
I call your name when I'm alone,
Like an echo fading, it's a lonesome tone.
Instead, I lay in this room of sorrow,
For it's a close friend, today and tomorrow.
We are alone, and it hurts with each breath,
And so we're left this cruel, twisted test.
Whatever happens - together or apart,
You will always have my heart
