Regret

I really don't know what to say,
It's killing me seeing you every day,
Being here so close to you,
Not being able to do what I want to,
To pull you close, and feel your touch,
When you're not around I miss you so much,
You cheer me up whenever you're around,
And I know how stupid this must sound,
I should have kept my mouth shut, I was happier how I was,
I really can't get my head around just "Because."
I guess I'll never understand where your feelings sit,
So I think it'll be best if I fade into the background for a bit,
I'll be back, my promise still stands,
I just can't be around you, without wanting your hand,
And I'm sorry if I sound obssessive and clingy,
But anything else just wouldn't be me.
So take care of yourself, for a little while,
And I'll be back again, able to smile.
