Trial of the Bathroom Mirror

Judge and the jury stood before the bathroom mirror.
The defence playing homage to its reflective character,
the prosecution simply just looked on with distain.
The mirror pleaded its innocence, its voice often sparkling,
a mere third party to imperfections of the naked reality
that the bared bodily parts performed.
As it watched the copious revelation of the faithful
to the ritual decorum of cleanliness and much more!.
The symbolic yellow duck and floating submarine,
testifying in all true fullness their own support.
The mirror stood tall
giving evidence to the direct tort,
thus it spoke of what it saw.
Father shaves his evident stubble,
turning grey contortions,
as he tries to reduce time.
Merely to return in the morning to
do his heaving rituals on the pan.
Mother freezes a moment
catching sight of yet another grey hair,
as a new crows foot dances
along her eye line,
the reflected monsters
she tries to hide.
In tandem, the two, the mirror reveals
will find a clandestine moment
for the ceremonial burning of incense and candles.
Swelled with wine
the balance of seduction and promiscuity
between the crusades of secrecy.
The door locked against all invaders
except the mirror and various toys.
The defence rose suddenly and took the floor
"What evidence this?"
The prosecution smirks with evident condemnation,
having made laborious notes.
The jury groan, the defence rises
a plea not to stop such revelation
the mirror sighs and then exposes yet more.
Daughter, hogs the room
steaming the mirror's window
with baited anticipation,
in her mind to stir male interest
pushing and pulling,
she stuffs toilet paper into her bra
thus enhancing
that new low cut neck line.
She parts her lips in a seductive smile
and leaves glossy red marks on the mirror's glass.
Son, lingers fleetingly,
passes water but does not turn the tap
squeezes yet one more spot
releasing the evidence
upon the mirror's face.
Using his toothbrush to clean up the mess
before it's bristles accidentally detect his teeth.
Later in the presence of the toilet god,
he'll kneel at some ungodly hour
to hollow praises to
HUUUUUEEEEYY
In partially of this
the mirror final declares,
"But this is a mere fraction of what I observe."
The prosecution turns to face the jury,
then the judge
"But your honour!
Is this to be nothing more,
than a mere reflection
of simple human absurdity!?"
The jury comes to order
and give their declaration,
the judge agrees.
His final sentence is to pursue
a new bathroom light!
