Y- True Reflections

Smashed glass,
the mirror no longer whole.
Piece by scattered piece,
blinded to the earth,
lost from reflection,
love so blind.
The frame still true
as it still holds onto precious
pieces you left behind.
Drawing out the red
it cuts so small a wound,
so deep it leaves
the memory, a salt of you,
cried in tears of haste.
Shatter mirror, reflective
parts of the whole
never to be again.
Splintered dreams
lost within a moment
as truth dropped its hand.
You never were
just a passing thought,
a mere desire,
the frame is still true,
so set free now the broken glass
as the mirror reflects
small parts of you
for me to see.
The honesty you wish to keep,
the lie you wish to hide,
shattered pieces of my mind
brought together
in a picture of you.
