Eh, Sucheta madam! you must tell

unraveling three webs of your magic spell

casting on Pratap a boy of your choice

the best on the land, we say in one voice

that  caught Pratap in a labyrinth of love

making you both a jubilee couple, that we talk of.

Our pal Pratap is through and through a Rourkela boy

grown there to worn-out adulthood from childhood joy.

Focused, he, his binocular, since his school days

on the lasses around with a teenager’s craze.

on his eighteen years search he could find none

to win his true conjugal love that you have won.

searched, he,, every nook and corner, far and wide

on the back of his house, he could find his bride.

Such a match is decided in heaven that all say

on the earth - crust they are to be united in any way

to be a couple, divine a status, you  deserved both

to spread the conjugal fragrance on His earth

So as His special envoy, blessed you, the Almighty

both stay harmoniously together till  eternity

celebrating Jubilee after jubilee in life after life

illustrating, as an ideal working husband and wife.

 you, both worked in a factory all along

day in and day out for forty years,, a period, very, long

shaping the children’s destinies and expectations

and well meeting the demands of social obligations

a herculean task for a working couple in a steel plant

on return, further jobs worn out body does not grant

 

still harmoniously shouldering all family burdens width success

to all your burdens  and obligations smilingly you did address

your golden jubilee day,  your harmonious stay

serves as an example to working couples today

 

But for a fun shake let me imagine the couple’s tussles

Suchetas shout or silence always wins over Pratap's muscles

on return from the factory after a day’s frustration

on monthly income - expenditure distribution

guiding children in the evening on return

a favored schedule agreed to either, to adjourn

and all that happens then in a family common

though being special, on the family front, you were no exception.

but despite the work's tension and exhaustion

despite children’s parental expectations and personal irritation

shoulder to shoulder as creepers in twine

all these fifty years they proved to be a couple, divine

standing to the demands of neighbors and  colleagues around

exemplifying the roles of a couple both duty-bound

at home, at work, as a couple in the steel city

gratitude, accolades, and honor for their stand as our bounden duty.

Pratap is a metallurgist on the steel of great repute

Sucheta with family input manager astute.

Smile, I, with pleasure, spicy and nefarious ​

Sucheta as a student and Pratap as a teacher, serious

while Sucheta prepared to be a metallurgy expert

in quality control her career upliftment effort.

Sucheta scores over Savitri a character divine

for her husband’s care, she had a place in a shrine

Sucheta by dint of her service, love worship, and prayer

in critical crisis and taking her hubby’s care

well-proved when Pratap had his bad luck in the car on the way

and on the accident-prone shop floor with safety hazards every day

scot-free, hale, and hearty he came out and with success played his role

surely thanks to Sucheta's prayer service to him with heart and soul.

Sucheta gave up her flourishing career

to serve her children, hubby, and family dear

the laurels of promotion, chair, and cash  she abandoned, all

Indeed such sacrifice for her family's sake makes her look tall. 

her background with control of criminals hardcore

aided her and her hubby Pratap on the shop floor,

discipline family front and acquaintances around

a noble service rendered to make society sound. 

Pratap, you must dwell

onh your arduous duties and responsibilities in SAIL,

how did you manage both your home and shop floor

maintaining harmony and meeting targets staying at fore

serving a giant steel sector with sauces both in your roles

and serving society around with smiles attaining family goals

Deserve you both gratitude and accolade from all

on your Golden Jubilee day when your service we recall.

Sucheta, Pratap! You both earned salaries handsome

that to us then looked enviably awesome.

Sure were we, your bank balance was pretty high

but at your present no non-luxurious stay now we sigh

but now realize, we your sacrifices for kith and kin

as in common family and truth and honesty built therein

your qualifications and professional background

excelling numerous then around

could not provide you at this age comfort of any sort

what job and salaries are needed to avoid external support.

Hey, couple, golden! At this age your smile, service, and sacrifices

keep your classmates at the departing age agog with spices

Pray we all in unison on your 50^th wedding day

with peace and bliss hale hearty you both stay

to observe diamond sapphire and platinum jubilees

with your gifted expanded blessed family trees.

You are special and deserve a unique celebration

hence a fortnight span, not a day marked the occasion

staying away from your home in isolation

reminiscing their wedding daisy,, sweet and golden.
