Switching off

I Can't Swich Off

I said farewell a thousand times ago
still i can't close the door
i've been told to relinquish my hold on hope
but i know there's still life
the world can spin away fall off it's axis
I won't close this door
show me you're still there
I can't turn off this life
"Get on with your life!"
"move on!"
"This is what she would want!"
So do i just flick a switch then...?
Like she's a domestic appliance
Watch the Brightness,contrast and colour of still life turn all the
way
down.Do i leave her on stand-by just like me.Waiting for a call that
will
never come.I've read the books to her, played the tapes let the kids
jump
on the bed.I even,when alone, pinched her hard,hard as i could!And
pleaded
"please!"
She could be as noisy as a hoover
soothing as jazz FM...we blended well...
So am i God then?
Is this the switch ...?
Do i just flick...?
