"The finest day I ever had
was when tomorrow never came"
Kurt D Cobain 1967 - 1994
(For Tommy Irwin who didn't make it)
You think out is over,
and tumbling
towards the exit will liberate.
Couldn't see another gate,
another way or day,
days that now pile
tirelessly
on disbelieving
pain,
for those still on this side
of the bridge.
Death should never have been your fame
or fate
Through rain,
tears
turning years,
kindred souls
wait
and wait
dying a thousand times.
because Tommy,
tumbling recklessly
to exit
leaves them with a sadness,
sadder only if
you'd never been at all.
