Glory after Glory

You weave
those who don’t know you might say your paths drift,
driven only by your thoughts.
But I know they are wrong -
there is nothing directionless about your intent
your heart being, straightforward and strong.
Treading onwards, across the land
down between the highs and lows
perfection
comes not easy collaborating
with natures handed down days of life.
With you, I am not me
no name needed, no scores to settle
no memories needing to be billeted elsewhere.
Freedom comes to me, from all of your
directions.
Nothing I own, is here to stay just simple
borrowed days, that let me pass your way
You are my escape as I walk fortunate
of your well trampled lines, scored deep
by foot and sheep.
Such is your timeless art, of colour rich.
My Lakeland Fells -
My days of glory, after glory living...
