I am more than the albatross.
From Marianas to Everest
I carry the light of Jupiter
On burnished wings.
My soul sings of the day
I bade farewell to the world of men.
White horses
Have laid their claim on me
A being bent in ether.
Yet still I steal away.
Where magma eyes have borne witness
To the death of the ice-caps
Second birth of Surtsey.
So blow my vision like the ruby glass
Till life's end
Then sink my grave
Within the wave
Sixty fathoms beyond
The burn of the Sun.
