i want to relax

I want to relax,
Or read or cook.
Not write a silly poem,
For my teachers poetry book.

My sense of rhyme is awful,
My words are even worse.
I cannot get my lines to scan,
Or to finish a single verse.

My teacher's a fool to expect me,
To write a poem or two.
When getting my words onto paper,
Is the last thing that I want to do.
