Wishes and Ashes

There is nothing left for me here, or anywhere else in this world. Everything is gone and dead, swept away by God's indifference. That so-called noble and forgiving being gave us his back when we most needed him.
But of course, you're probably asking yourself why he would do something like this. Well, I honestly don't know; that's something you would need to ask him.
What I do know though, is that I'm one of the unfortunate to still be alive. I've yet to see another human being, besides those who have relied on cannibalism. Most animals died out, most people died out and any trace of what was once civilization died out. The war and plagues ended everything a year ago.
There's nothing left but the coldness of an eternal winter; gray and still.
