I'm sorry if I disturbed you.
Spilt my life upon your floor,
Knocked too loudly at your door,
Made you wide awake
And for pity's sake
Why my rolling emotional tide?
And not the old fun filled ride?
If silence was all I had to say,
You'd wish this loathsome strain away.
So I'm sorry if I disturbed you.
Of course! All me again!
With the same old tired refrain,
But with fix?d smile,
In my traditional style,
I watch you pick a stone
And bloom then from dun to roan,
And, with still much more to say,
Instead I'll simply slip away.
