Boasting of help received!

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]
Well, what have you or I of which to boast?
What have we that we did not gain, receive?
Be pleased with any good you’ve done, but most
of all be thankful for enabling given
and for forgiveness for things badly done
– and let us boast we know the gracious One!
Pride does not think it needs any advice,
assistance – easily it slips and falls.
It thinks its skill and wisdom will suffice,
but one who sees their need in time, and calls
for help and listens in humility
to wise suggestions shows maturity.
“Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom … but … that he …knows me …who exercises kindness ….” Jeremiah 9:23,24 NIV translation of the Biblle , copyright 1984 International Bible Society

"Pride"
Fits in beautifully with your previous poem Rhiannon! And the comments!
The first lines are as Paul, we cannot boast for our deeds, only praised be the One. For your second stanza it says each one who calls His name will be saved.
I've had a bit of trouble with the PC it's in order now.

By the way is it really necessary to quote your copyright like that? In all that detail, it is the same Bible after all? "NIV translation" should suffice, maybe at most refer to a verse.
