Far Superior to Angels – and approachable!

[Continuing the hymn-for-Sundays series]

Greater than the angels – “Worthy” –
they proclaim, and praise Him for
He’s their Maker and th’amazing
Saviour Lamb sent to restore,
ransom people from each nation
on the earth by His shed blood
– now returned victorious with His
Father, acknowledged Son of God.

There presents His people’s ransom,
eternal home for us prepares.
He’s our Advocate and Brother,
understands us and He cares.
In Him we, with reverent boldness,
prayerful to our Father come –
not to angels, saints or Mary –
open access to the throne.
