… the sad, the puzzled, the sceptic …
1. Grieving Mary’s loss was such –
loved the One who’d helped her much.
First to meet the Saviour risen,
quickly went to tell as bidden.
2. Jesus met disciples sad,
puzzled, fearful – then so glad.
Saw him eat, who had been dead:
soon this saving news must spread.
3. One week later and again
to the upper room Christ came,
so that Thomas also saw
– sceptic Thomas filled with awe!
John 20:10–31
Tune: 77 77 eg Nottingham by Mozart, tune of ‘Take my life and let it be …’ by Frances Havergal

Thanks, for sharing it.
The sad, the puzzle, the sceptic, that sounds like our human race. Before coming to terms with the true Lord and Savior. But, oh! What a wonderful grace.
