Can I ask u a question rhiannon I see your a christian I to have faith but I not sure of the answer to this.

Do you believe that satan is in control of some people and this explains the bad deed they do or instead is the person suffering from a mental illness and this explains the bad deed they do.

I kind of sway towards believing the mental illness theory as thought that scriptures explained that in the time of jesus he banished satan from this world, forever.

Hi, Steve, I'll try and answer that. To begin with Jesus defeated Satan on the cross and bought us the possibility of forgiveness if we'll ask for it. And he loosened Satan's grip on those who trust Jesus. But Satan won't be totally banished until Jesus comes again to sort out all the world.

We all have a tendency to do bad things until then, but having Jesus in your heart helps you stand up against Satan tempting. Mental illness can mean less clear thinking, less strength to do wisely, but the most important thing is having Jesus's Spirit living in us through our acceptance of him, and wanting to do better with his help, praying.

Thanks for your answer im maybe going to think of that before maybe answering.

One more question I got and I ask you because iv a level of respect of your judgement cause of your writing on this site.

Do you think that creative people les use an example life of brian monty python film as one and I have a film script project which questions religion spirituality and at times even mocks these agendas but life of brian and my project are fictional film.

Do we as creative types have liscence to write anything even if its dark and offends and even if its about killing people and stuff. Would a christian be allowed to do this or even just someone who love jesus.

Steve, I think we can comment on dark things, even mocking things, to try to lead away from them, with reasons. We wouldn't want to encourage dark thoughts, and our speech should be gracious, and encourage good attitudes surely? Rhiannon
