Increasing chill
and lengthening dark –
the plants and we
withdraw within
protecting walls
of seed, bark, brick
until
our globe's return in its
regular spin
brings daylight longer
and warmth then stronger.

Good evening Rhiannon,

you describe wonderfully that winter feeling of a need to hibernate, ready for when the longer daylight hours return and everything comes alive again.

Loved the little drawing of the house too, with the tree that's resting ready for spring.
