Nemesis
All hell let loose at the end of days
Our payback worse than the crimes we've done
No solace for us, the worst of Man
No respite, despite our contrition.
Our judge and jury condemn us now
To perdition, hell and back again
No succour for us, to see the light
Too late for us to be forgiven.
We cannot know where love has gone
Our crimes so bad they cloud the sun
Of love, so good it feeds the mind
Of all who love, despite the sins
Of those who dance to Hades' power
And scorn the love so freely given.
To know, to care, to love, to dare,
To see the light of those who stare
Into the love of those who mourn
The passing of the love, all gone
To hell and back, so Hades power
Can grow, then leave our love all torn.
Can love, the victim, take the fight
To hell's dark gate and pierce with light
That thing which tries to break the love
Of those who want to be above
This turmoil laced with lurid fright?
Can love restored, this hell remove?
Hell's dark franchise of hate and death
Will fade before the one true Love
Which lights the world of sin and fear
So hope and reason can appear
And give the Devil one last kiss.
Our love is Hades' Nemesis.
