Plague of Religion

The humans are at the top of the 'triangle' of life. Animals all have a superior being, thus they do not ponder. Humans are, after all, still animals, and thus seek a superior being. The human being has always searched for a greater being; a being which was powerful, a being which answered the unknown. That was how religion was created, and still is at a lesser extent. However, over time, religion became a way of controlling people into doing something, thinking that they are doing the right thing. It can also be used to keep people from advancing forwards, or from discovering a new religion, or going for atheism. That is what happened in the dark ages. The world stopped its advancement into new contraptions, and instead caused war and separation of families and friends. Most of the wars which were done and are still being made today are because of religion. One such example are the Muslims. I am not saying that all those whom are Muslim are in their 'dark ages', but they are being controlled by the government to cause havoc and destroy anything that opposes them, simply with the use of religion. I believe it is time that religion is abandoned and should be replaced by the wide understanding that not everything can be understood; however, everything can happen from nothing.
