Christmas Tree
I am grown for people's pleasure for those festive Christmas
nights.
They stand me in a barrel, dressed in a multitude of flashing
lights.
Arrays of glittering tinsel are displayed between my limbs.
Reflecting in the darkness twinkling, sometimes brightly, sometimes
dim.
They say I look majestic and absolutely fine.
Wishing they could keep me always not just for this special time.
The Christmas season is over, decorations packed for another day.
What hurts the most is they take me down and cast my shell away.
