Hopeful

Bye! Mum, bye! Dad,
I know you are proud, but also sad.
For I start nursery to-day,
And with other children I'll play.

I hope everything goes well for me,
And I'll see you all at tea.
Teacher will show me what to do,
And tell me off; Mum! just like you.

Oh! well I think I'll settle down you know,
Maybe I'll make friends and to parties I'll go.
With lots of toys I will play,
I really hope it will be a lovely day.

The time just pasted, the days have flown,
I'm now three and like Thomas, I have grown.
The day will arrive, I hope? Dad and Mum,
You'll be pleased with your grown up son.
