The Unseen

a silhouette
no guardian
watching over him
the times
pass by

the sun
the star
daily mirror
life
unrecognisable

to even the keenest observer
he is unseen
but these entities
provide indifferent warmth

he invades no one's space
feng shui experts
need not apply within
no running water
to energise

he is invisible
he is the unseen

he was once
an expectation of
hope
but now
despair
tossed aside
as shards of a splintered life
lie on the floor

a victim
of life

a casualty of circumstance
he dies

but no one grieves over
an unmarked grave
