A moment of perfect peace
Perfect quiet
The world hangs caught
In a circle of human arms
Unrevolving a heartbeat
Whispers
I lay my head close
Listen is it
You? The earth?
Both so dear
No difference
Really
Reality
Here and now
Stars dance and flutter
In skies
Eyes
Breath leaves body
In a century I see
Fairies dancing
Amongst
Flowers nodding
Nimble nymphs wink and know
Gracious elf queen glances
Sunlight, moonlight
Changes
Cross the seasons
Of her gaze
She smiles our way
A fate is sealed
Constant moments
Of perfect peace
And perfect quiet.
