Victorious Moon

Cryin' aloud, listening to the same old songs
telling myself it's time to stand up and undo so many wrongs

Each day the sun still rises, shoving the moon to it's shadows
determined however, the moon shines bright
the sleeping never know

But every so often the shadows flip
and the moon will eclipse
taking the spotlight
leaving the night
and winning the fight

Pushing back
Destined in night to stay
the moon pushes into day

Our heads turn to the sky
the sunlight dies
It's under attack
the moon pushed back

So will I
