Choose Temping

Choose temping. Choose a degree. Choose whether to finish it or not,
then choose a career that you'll never get into. Choose never to work
for free &; therefore never choose work experience. Choose to live
at home and have to share your old room with your adolescent brother.
Choose not to get kicked out of bed every morning and get told not to
watch the big fucking television, instead choose to live in a shitty
little flat with no heating and a small fucking television without a
television license. Choose waking up and wondering what the fuck you
are going to do today. Choose a temp agency then choose another, when
they have both chosen to fuck you in the ass, choose to think about
teaching but then choose to stay as far away from the little shits as
possible. Choose to answer the phone to the "fuck you in the ass" temp
agency and then choose to say yes to ?4.50 an hour. Choose to turn up
on your first day wearing a shirt and tie, and then choose never to do
that again. Choose to take up smoking and take as many cig breaks as
possible. Choose caffeine as your new drug of choice. Choose sitting on
a swivel chair starring at brainwashing soul-destroying spreadsheets
downing coffee. Choose living life like a heroin addict without the
heroin. Choose going mad at the end of everyday telling yourself this
is the last week that you will put up with this shit. Eventually choose
to start skiving from your life sucking temp job and turn your life
around. Choose to accept a "real" job your offered and decide to do it
for a year, then realise its no better than the temp job you hated.
Choose to live on baked beans and toast and wonder why your not as fit
as you used to be. Choose to go out one Friday night then realise that
everyone in the world is a wanker including you. Choose a girlfriend
and hope she chooses you. When you have chosen each other choose to
doubt your decision and decide that the reason your life is shit is
because of her. Lose that girl and realise the reason your life is shit
is because of you and the fact that you can't work it out. Choose to
start looking for the answers in philosophy, day-time-television,
books, films, and advise from the Buddha Angels that you have become
convinced are talking to you. Choose to waffle your life away
complaining that no one wants to give you a chance or opportunity.
Choose to stop asking questions and waiting for someone to hand you
your dreams. Choose to stop complaining about the politicians and just
get on with it. Choose to change the world yourself, catch your breath
and dive off the skyscraper that has grown beneath you distancing you
from the real world. Choose your future. Choose life. Don't choose
temping.
