Immense Sea Galoshes Dance early January 05

My favorite professor, Liz Eckhart, is a brilliant Shakespearean.
Her understanding of Shakespeare is absolutely cutting edge, way beyond
the mainstream bullshit. Well, she's recently been down-graded to
teaching Intro to Literature Courses. They've replaced her with a
professor who reprents the politically correct view of Shakespeare.
Namely, that he didn't know shit because he was before our oh-so-grand
modern, scientific society. Prof. Eckhart also suffers from some kidney
illness these days; her skin has grown peculiarly swarthy; you can
almost see the green in it. But she's so noble and alive! She is
greatness, a hero of our age.
I'm listening to Jonny Lang's "Wander This World", trying to keep my
calm. My mother's digitial camera doesn't seem to work. I do not own an
IPOD; I certainly don't own an MP3 player. Fortunately, for the moment,
many record labels seem to prefer tapes. I'm sure this will pass but
everything passes; everything always passes. Seeds find sustenance in
the muck.
I need new orthotics; my ankles irritate me. I won't get them for at
least a couple months. It's not just that the world doesn't understand
me; they could never understand me. I'm on a different, and in most
ways a higher plane, all together. I do things for art's sake and this
society takes them literally. I belong to an age that I hope will
someday be, when humanity has fully distinguished itself from a pig and
learned to truly respect "civilization," for lack of a better word. For
lack of a better word; My next literary work will be the conception of
such a word.
after note: I'm sitting at my Mom's house waiting till I sober up so I
can drive home. One could reproach me for drinking but I tried a week
of abstinence but it only brought up pain and anger from what this
society has done to me. And you know, what I would really like to say
can't be legally said. This society commits immoral violence against
misfits and then creates laws against their even speaking about
violence. Morally speaking, this society is a rotting piece of shit.
And I want to make that clear, you can't get any further away from
morality than George W. Bush. And you can't get any further away from
"toughness" than Dick Cheney, a corporate pussy whose heart can't beat
on its own and whose mind can't come up with an original thought. Ha,
ha, ha!
But, you know, what I meant to say is that I would really like to get
working on how this society can become a sustainable entity, assuming
it can purge its more evil amounts out. It's no use for me to arrange
my personal survival, which I'm fully clever enough to do. We have to
survive as a planet and as a species or not at all. But for reasons far
beyond my comprehension, I am prevented from getting to work.
