Black eye

Black eye,
A rainbow of colour,
A rainbow of pain,
The stoney expression,
The half-shead tear,
From a face no longer able to cry.

Black eye,
The bawling children,
The rageing father,
Screams mingling,
Untill there is one siren song.

Black eye,
The hopeless expression,
the drunken man,
A yell, A fist, A punch,
A new black eye.
