Muses

You're my Muse. I can deny it till the end of the world, but in my
heart I know it's the truth. I have two Muses. One whose name means
darkness, who is my light and you, whose name means light but is dark.
You live only in my heart, I memory, a mere dream.
Why won't you go? Why do I hold on to you? I write and you live in the
pages of my stories. In different ways but all of them dark. There's
nothing I can touch of you, nothing I can hold. It's as if you were
never here. As if you never lived. A sigh, a felting thought on the
river of life.
How can I let you go? How can I say good-bye? You're my darkness, a
part of me, The other side of my coin. I run and you run with me. No
matter where I hide, you are there in me. You inspire me.
You're my Muse and I hate it. The pain you give me as the ink flows
onto paper. You have been gone 10 years now. 10 long years and every
day I hear you. You have been the sauce of my greatest triumphs and
deepest dispraises. When I write I find my self thinking of you.
Someday, somehow I will let you go, let you pass over but until then
I'll think of you and the simple stone that is you're grave
stone.
You're my Muse.
