Rosie the Cheese Munching Monster.

Oh Rosie dear please, Oh Rosie dear please.
Could you try to eat something but crackers and cheese?
You consume wheels of Wensleydale two at a row,
Now that stinky old Stilton has just got to go.
Cheddar and Buxton blue, Gloucester and Brie,
It feels like a battle now, you against me.
Each night at the table you’re staring me down,
With that pout on your lips and that little girl frown.
Oh Rosie dear please. Oh Rosie dear please.
I’ve tried you on fish fingers, burgers and peas,
I’ve mustered up custard with fruit from a tin,
But you’re crazy for dairy and just won’t give in.
With a fork in your left hand you prod at your dinner.
I’ll smile in a while and you’ll know you’re the winner.
You’ll stubbornly, sullenly cut me a deal,
Two pieces of cheese and you’ll eat half your meal.
Oh Rosie dear please, Oh Rosie dear please,
With bows in blond hair and those scrapes on your knees.
Your angelic features are perfect to hide.
The cheese-munching monster that’s lurking inside.
