Unsugared Cornflake

Still crisp
impervious to the sop
of the ice cold
nice cold
UHT milk.

The unsugared cornflake
is the only one I missed
in the sweet storm,
the tate and lyle blizzard
that blew in
atop my mountain of cereal,
rendering the climb
out of the question.
