Close your eyes, just settle...
Relax...
My mind feels like it is going to combust.
I slowly roll up from my laying position, bone by bone until I reach sitting point. Where am I?
It's pitch black. I can't see even a faint outline of my hand in front of my face. Scared, I hesitate while placing it on ground.
It's smooth, cold. I now know why I feel so destroyed. I'm on stone.
I decide it's better to crawl than face unknown dangers on foot.
When I get to what seems like a curved wall, a creak. Cracks of light lick at the scenery, illuminating my chamber.
A silhouette of what seems to be a handsome man enters.
"Where am I?" I ask. He acts as though he is deaf and comes closer. I try to back up but only slide up the stone barrier. I want to disappear out of sight, away from him.
He approaches slowly, but there is no fear in his eyes. He grabs my wrist and pulls me up forcefully so that I pound into the unmoving, emotionless predator. He grabs my waist in a smooth moment and I am frozen.
"Thought you could escape, aye?"
He pushes me into him tighter. I can hardly breathe. The smell of sweat and dirt takes over the room.
I am his unwilling rag doll.
He goes to kiss my face. I turn away. A swift slap, and my face stings unbearably as a tear flows out of the corner of my eye. Please don't notice. I want to go under covers, just sit in my bed and close my eyes, escaping from the world for just one moment.
All of a sudden something snaps inside of me. My eyes burn and a wave of anger bubbles up to the surface. The intruder is sent flying across the room.
Before either of us can think, I bound for the door. I'm greeted by a twisting maze of intricately placed hallways. From the blurs I see, I have traveled back in time, at least it seems so. Antique paintings on stone walls, even a suit of armor in one of the eaves.
Finally sunlight, fresh air. I run. I run as far as I can. I run until the sun drops and darkness once again envelopes me.
I am in a grassy meadow. I collapse on my back, smelling the fresh aromas of surrounding life. Staring at the stars, my mind once again is covered with darkness.
Then a deep, unearthly voice-
