The Calm and the Storm
By Sir Loin
- 200 reads
Once this is over we’ll get back to play.
We’ll do it ‘till the end of the day.
And tomorrow a Storm will
Come around and
It will take
the sun
Away
And once that is over we’ll sit in the shade
Under a tree, eating all the delicious treats that we made.
Then
lightning
will
come
and
strike
the
Tree
and
all
of
our
joy
will
Fade
And once that is over and we’re safe in our home,
we’ll all be together like we were never ever alone.
And then you’ll get a call on the phone…
But after some time we’ll be back to bliss.
Not thinking of all the people we miss.
But once it’s all over, there'll be no tree.
It’ll be over completely.
No lightning, no cupcakes, or place to play.
Our struggles, no longer based upon the day.
No me for you, nor you for me.
We’ll be subject to the rest of eternity.

Flickering Suspended
This is excellent poetry Sir, AI could never equal it you must need "actual" intelligence. Amazing. Just shows one what you can do when you apply yourself – I mean of what you said when you started. And already of our best work.
In a way the story made me think of Schrödinger's cat as well. The tree flickering in reality suspended between existence and destruction and the frailty of life itself.
See you then! Tom

The ups and downs of life,
The ups and downs of life, and the things that give pleasure awhile. But the eternity to come isn't a totally unknown blank. And while here we are to prepare for it, in accepting the friendship and pardon of the One in charge. Rhiannon
