Darkness IP (I couldn’t think of a title)

For three years, Orion had been living in this house and somehow didn’t pay even a second of attention to that door. The door to the room he’s never entered. Orion was a curious man who liked to explore so it came as a surprise to him when he realised that he’d never even finished exploring his own house. His longing for adventure pushed him towards the door.
As Orion reached to open it, a memory surfaced. Orion stopped for a moment, trying to remember all of the details that he possibly could, every single one. It was a memory of… nothing. No sound, no light, not even a smell, only darkness. But he knew it took place in that room. The door didn’t resist. Why would it? It had no lock and the handle looked pristine, so Orion opened it with ease.
Orion couldn’t see past the dark doorway, so he reached his arm inside and felt around for the light switch. He passed his hand over the rough plaster wall and as soon as he felt the smooth plastic lightswitch cover, a voice growled from inside the room.
“Don’t! Banish me,” It said.
Orion retracted his arm and stepped back away from the room.
“What are you doing in my house?!” Orion yelled back.
“Am I not welcome here?” it asked.
“Of course not. It’s my house.” Orion said.
It laughed, “Ha, I don’t respect such bounds. I go where I am needed and where, that, is not.”
“Show yourself! I’ll call the police if you don’t get out of there!”
“But I am showing myself. You're looking right at me,” it said. “I am the darkness.”
Orion relaxed. “Why do I believe you? Why are you speaking to me?”
“Why would you not believe me? Besides, I'm doing you a favour.”
“What favour would the dark be doing for me? I'm going to banish you now. I’d like to see what’s in this room.” Orion approached the doorway again.
“Keep the light off!” The whole room projected the voice of darkness.
Orion could hear its voice coming from all around the room. It really is the darkness, Orion thought. “Why? What are you hiding?”
“Telling you that would defeat my purpose. Just trust me when I say to close the door and turn away from this room.”
“I don’t want to trust you.”
“Why? Because darkness is the big bad guy. Light is so warm and bright and it protects us from the scary darkness and never hides anything from us,” It said in a high pitched, mocking voice.
“Shut up,” Orion said, flicking on the light.
The house instantly fell silent. Orion’s memories all made sense now. He has been in that room before. Orion fell to his knees at the sight of the room. The (you shouldn’t be reading this) and the (let the darkness protect you) which lined the walls made him sick. Orion knew what he’d done, and for so long he’d forgotten it. The darkness was the last thing protecting his mind when all else failed. Orion fell to his knees as his stomach started to lurch. That’s when he noticed the (stop peeking) inside the room on the floor. Orion took it and (Don’t worry. You’ll never know). He (wow, that was bad) and (dum dee dum) until he (ok that’s enough. Ignorance is bliss so turn away now and have a blissful day)
