BEING NOTHING.
(Move uneasy)
sneak
I'll be the image in your mirror.
Your clouded vision mine to see.
I'll run my fingers through reflections.
I'll make believe that you love me.
And as the steam slowly disperses,
behind this glass I'll spy a tear.
The cruelty of being nothing.
What it is like to disappear?
What is it like to lose your meaning,
your one true stab at happiness?
I'll be the ripple in the bathtub,
I'll be the silent warm caress.
I'll take your hand as you go under,
and as the water becomes red -
I'll be the shoulder you can die on.
I'll be the word's you never said.
The constant trickle of tomorrows -
will slowly drip away the past.
Yesterday you were so perfect,
but perfection couldn't last.
I'll be the pretext for your passing.
Consider me your alibi.
Conceiving doubt in tranquil waters,
so beautiful you had to die.
In life you always moved uneasy,
tonight you soar defiantly.
The only image now reflected -
will be the pain inside of me.
