Except Hers

His face broke free
From mine.
In thirteen years he had not seen
Another's skin,
Except hers.
Two children hence, a lifetime clean
But now,
Not anymore.
Soft hand of time,
A mind, alive again.
I dive away, I've learned before
The pain of theft
From settled homes.
Trembling, we both. Guilty.
He leaves the air full
With the smell of a fallen angel.
