Born Harry Webb in India was he,
A child with hidden talent, a famous man to be.
No one could have ever guessed, his voice would bring him fame,
But looks and charm and lucky lips were all part of the game.
His Idol Elvis Presley set him on the road to rock,
Then the 'Batchelor Boy' sang 'Move it' and the fans began to
flock.
A film career soon followed, 'The Young Ones' hit the top,
Then on a London bus he went, his fame would never stop.
No lucky girl became his wife,
Though he's wooed them on his way,
But he found the love of Jesus Christ,
For years it's been that way.
Songs of gospel, songs of love, songs of peace he'll sing,
Christmas No1's it seems are always his great thing,
He sings of 'Mistletoe and Wine' and his great 'Saviours Day',
He sings of 'Devil Women' and he warns to keep away,
It seems whatever he may sing, it always makes a hit,
And whilst he's loved by all his fans I'm sure he'll never quit.
His pasion changed to other things,
For a while he spent his days,
As the dark and handsome 'Heathcliffe' with his calculating ways.
Whatever path he cares to take,
Wherever he cares to rest,
His grateful fans can rest assured,
Cliff always gives his best.
