They play football
before Sunday serving,
and their team
is bottom of their league
but it doesn't really matter.

They support
the local side,
and their teams position
in the league
doesn't really matter.

They fight
side by side,
against nameless kits,
who the opposition are
doesn't really matter.

They use bottles
and knives,
with no thought
of their own lives,
it doesn't really matter.

They defend the name
of their team
and their firm
on a Saturday afternoon
because it's the only thing that matters.
