Not Here

Head a blur with unfinished tasks,
an uncertain future and uncertain plan,
words of 'wisdom' from loved ones,
and harsh, demeaning words from yours truely.
Sadness, solemness, and shame,
badger my lonely heart tonight.
Music fills my head only making my judgements for certain,
my sadness objectified,
my anxiety granted.
She's not here tonight,
not here to make it all go away,
to make it all stop.
She's not here to distract me from my responsibilities,
or the pain all my lack of self esteem causes my fragile heart.
She's not here to love and accept me for who I am,
my uncertain future,
and stop the past from coming back.
She's not here.

Very sad piece, filled with
Very sad piece, filled with longing, Sue. Just spotted one typo. "Truely" ought to be "truly". Unless it's a US English thing, in which case, forgive me.

Loneliness and need for acceptance shines through your words, Sue. Beautifully expressed and I felt sad reading. Comes across as very real. Hope the writing helps.
