Meet you on the horizon, a date we will keep

longing to be together, our hearts will weep

the closeness we get from watching the sun

as it falls to the sea this day almost done

wishing the days could be longer some how

but thinking of you will do for now

softly the wind caresses my face

for this moment in time it's touch takes your place

the sound of the sea rings loud in my ear

clinching my blanket, feeling you near

wishing at this moment you could be by my side

and together beneath this blanket we would hide

to share this wonder that is before me

the setting sun as it meets the sea
