A soldiers story
The sunsets across the sky
While he stares behind a bob wire fence
Alienated from friends and family, but by chose to protect and serve
his country.
He dreams of days gone by, and wonders why he is there.
Is it really to fight for our rights/ or is it for the right for the
oil in its lands.
Makes you wonder huh! How this country be so rich, yet so poor.
Not in monies, but in spirit.
So many solitary men out their wondering weather they will ever see
home again
Why do we fight as a nation to protect our boundaries .why can't we
just open them to the world and live as one. That would be too easy I
guess.
If we don't fight for it then we haven't won. has been that way since
before time
Is that what this is all about?
Did god mean for us to be segregated, discriminated, reviled, because
of the color of our skin, the way we talk, the way we walk, why do we
teach our brood to hate so. When there is so much love to share what
would life be with no war. No hate? people living in peace side by
side. Do I dare mention this .am I dreaming of a world only I
see?
Where our offspring will not live in fear to come out and play
We say good morning to our neighbors and really mean it
Tears would be only of joy not of pain.
Maybe one day when man learns the true meaning of love
Can this happen.
I just hope it won't be to late.
