Christmas night

Beauty calls

as the day falls

people rushing by

no one call

on the tv screen I see
happy faces

of children playing

smiling

looking at Christmas
lights

it's sad that for all

it not like that in
real life

sitting back thinking

of all the homes

and the lonely people
in them

the ones that think

there can't see the
light

all they have are
photographs

of children at play

now they move so far
away

and for what ever
reason

they spent a lonely
Christmas night

think of the family who
barley have enough to eat

they try to do there
best to have a treat

and try to keep warm

with very little heat

homeless people on the
street

old people who cant
bear to ask for help

and they just about
have enough to eat

make you wonder why
they cant show that on the tv screen

as for me I got a
family

and a happy life

but just think on
Christmas night

of all those people

who cry themselves to
sleep tonight

because they think no
one cares for them today
