Countryside

Oh out in the
countryside

on a hot summer
afternoon

I escape in my mind

I seeing a scene where
there a field of gold before me

hardly a cloud in the
sky

the sun blinding my
eyes

I just close them

and feel so alive

I open my eyes and what
do I see

the wheat field swaying
in the breeze

wild flower by my feet

and the sun beating
down on me

this is perfect

all worries have gone
away

this is the moment

I can recall

when I want to get away
from it all

my imagination

take me to the sunny
side of life

peaceful and calm

and being as one
