Falling Angels Ch.3

I tried to repair the ship but there was no point. I tossed it away and suddenly had an idea. Strings of Necroplasm starting weaving between my fast moving hands. I formed a tight knot that was in the shape of a dragon. The pattern hummed as the wind blew through its intricate knots.
A black dragon appeared too my left on the horizon. Its deep roar let out a mini-earthquake under my feet. This was my dragon, the strongest and most feared in all of the Mirrored Realm, "Black Lust Dragon. Glad your here." This dragon was the pride and joy behind my skills. "I need you to get me somewhere, fast."
She stared at my green eyes with her huge black ones. "Where to my master?" she said to me without moving her mouth.
I gave it a thought before I said anything. "Umm, I don't know. About six days at the speed of sound, wherever that would take me."
"Okay, I know where you’re talking about." She rested on her stomach and I quickly got on her back as she opened up one of her own portals. "Hang on for the ride. This is going to be quick."
She stood on all four legs and got into the air. When we flew through the portal and the acceleration that propelled us was like sitting in a Bugatti with the gas floored. It was over in seconds, when I collected myself I saw that we were floating over the Arctic caps. This area used to be solid ice but after numerous demons coming here to agitate their powers the ice has melted leaving hundreds of giant ice cubes floating in the water.
My powers started to become agitated and so did my mood. I jumped down and landed on the only glacier where I saw people.
"Ah, the young fish has finally captured the bait. It’s nice to see you again." I was looking at the spirit. Beside it was Ash, tied up and knocked out.
"It very much is nice to see him again." This time a voice came from behind me. I turned and saw that it was a battle android. "Now I can repay you for that day we met."
I turned back to the spirit and said, "If you lay one finger on her I'm coming to kill you."
"Don't worry, after you beat a couple of my friends you'll get her back, if not..."
"Keep your eyes on the threat at hand!"
When I turned a punch was coming towards my face. I rushed at him and quickly hit a punch to his stomach. I got behind him and my heel smashed into the back of his neck.
"Either you got slower, or I got much faster. What do you think?"
"Much faster but not stronger. Not much of an improvement in my opinion."
I felt my heart speed up and power surged to my fists. It was obvious when two green flames exploded onto my arms. "Time to stop pulling punches." I said as I ran towards him.
My punches were like explosions in my elbows as
flesh and bone smashed against steel and carbon. The next thing I knew he was holding me high above my head, when he dropped me on the solid ice it was tough to get up. I heard him arming a blaster in his arm and didn't know what to expect.
"Blaster fire!"
"Wave of the Dead!"
I wasn't going down without a fight. I rolled over and shot a beam of my energy straight towards his. As the beams clashed there was a huge buildup of energy formed just feet from my face. As more energy was poured in the surge grew bigger and bigger.
I had a secret technique up my sleeve, called Coerced Collapse. The words echoed in my head, I would use the ability but I was remembering the last time it nearly got me killed. But this time there was no other option.
"Coerced Collapse!" My voice was deep and echoed off the ice. My power increased ten-fold and pushed the surge of energy back towards the android.
"No! Failure is not acceptable! Failure was not calculated...!" He was yelling at first then his voice went into a distorted mess of beeps, clicks, and non-understandable speech. His body was now a pile of ashes.
I was struggling to get to my feet. The Coerced Collapse was suicide for a demon below the rank of four tails. At the time powered up to the level of a six tail so the pain was just an annoying numbness in my arms.
"All right, I played your game now let go of Ash before I have to deal out more damage." I tried to keep myself calm and composed, but the aggression on my voice slipped out a little.
"Oh, the demon of the dead is angry," The spirit said taunting me. I saw his fingers start to twirl around in Ash's hair and I could tell he was enjoying my challenge of trying to control myself.
"Look, I don't know what game you’re playing. But whatever it is," I could feel the urge to explode building up in my chest. I tried but there was nothing I could do. "LEAVE HER OUT OF IT!"
"Oh you sound like you’re willing to do anything for this girl. Let me reveal myself." The soul stepped away from Ash and broke free of his demonic prison. "I am known as Rastlin, high-sorcery wizard. I can unlock the true potential of your powers, for a small price."
"And that price..." I was knocked out midsentence and it felt like years before I woke up...
