Best Route

Here's a problem that really irritates me and it might be to others as well. So when your in high school councilers usually ask you what do you want to major in. So here are the most popular majors; Business Administration, Psychology, Elementry Education, Nursing , Biology, Education, English, Political Science, Economics and Marketing. Those are the main ones you hear all the time when you ask them their major. Am I right? I think the only reason why people choose those majors is for the money but I can be wrong. Now I can understand if you love what you do but don't say for the money. Have you researched what your major is about? You can go into a major just for money and next thing you know, you end up changing it. The reason you might end up changing it is because you weren't interested as much as you thought. Why not choose something different like; Journalism, Flight Attendant, Graphic Arts, Air Traffic Controller, Tower Technican, Geomatic Engineering/Land Surveying, Industrial Design, Court Stenographer, Packaging Engineering, Anesthesiology Assistant, Hearing Aid Practitioner/Audiologist, Internal Auditing or Environmental Management. Its so much more out there then the ones you normally hear everyday and you choose boring ones. With the majors you don't choose could be more likely the ones you really like. You can choose something that others don't know about and they might look into that as well. Its so much more in this world than what you see and hear everyday. I know some might end up choosing the Military but is that what you really want to do or did someone tell you to try the Military? Always think outside the box and not what's already in it.
