I love you-
I'm no good for you.
I will make you cry.
I will hurt you,
then defend you
in some others eyes.
Time and again
you return to me,
even though I hurt you.
You keep coming back to me
knowing I'll desert you.
I'm your drug of choice,
you long for what I give.
I make you and I break you,
just upon a whim.
You say you love me -
I know it's a lie.
How could you love me
When I make you want to die?
Your eyes speak multitudes,
you'd never think to say.
They say how broken you are,
Night is your day.
Attempts to drive you away
I see are only in vain,
Every harsh act I cause you
bring apologies my way.
How long will it take
to make you see the light?
Don't you know
