In the Forest

Here in the forest;
The trees hover like giants.
Crisp leaves settle on the ground,
Twitching in the invisible breeze.
Branches sway;
Reaching their stems
High to the quarter moon,
As a child would reach
Its arms lovingly to its mother.
Treetops shield wildlife
From the abyss above.
Here in the forest;
All is peaceful.
