As Gregor Samsa awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a cat.
He was lying sprawled across soft cushions, awoken by the curiosity of the dawn and all it might bring: food, warmth and more sleep.
He allowed his body to arch and crawl in a stretch that temporarily converged legs, tail and bodily segments in an arrangement unique to him, unique to him in that moment.
Hmm. It seems I have become a cat,” Gregor mused. He rolled around in the immediate warmth of a stray ray of sunlight, thought about getting up and looking for food, but, on deeper reflection, decided to go back to sleep.
