What do you think would happen,
If I missed your declarations and requests,
(Should you pronounce them)
As you stand below my window,
Simply because I had the music too loud,
While drinking beer in my underwear?
Do you think I'd ever find out?
Even at the 'end of it all' or something?
What happens to our missed opportunities?
As you trudge home in the midnight rain,
Assuming I had chosen not to acknowledge,
Yourself come back to me.

I guess it's all about at what point,
You decide to give up.
But that would suggest that,
Just to be safe,
We should never give up on anything.
But think of the paperwork to keep,
All of that going!
So it's probably just as good,
To give up on everything,
As soon as it looks bad.
Yea, quicker turnover,
Less paperwork.
