Big Dipper

By tibi popovici
- 1924 reads
Evening falls over the village,
Opening the vault serene,
Of a starry sky.
When an oxen cart
Turns slowly
On the stone road
What is spread before
For a home return
A long and exhausting day
Tired the beasts,
Hardly advancing
On the cold darkness of night
Blowing foamy steam
Accumulated on noses
From the heat of the day.
Their master remained silent,
Dare not to ask more,
Just urge them to litter
With voice warm them before,
Less and come! Ready!
We arrived in the village!
We can see the lights!
Come dear, one more hill and done.
Cart loaded with wood,
Moves led by wind,
Just a thought and free will
Approached them to the ground.
While oxes are going,
For a last resort
The long cart ladder broke the sky
Divide it as a cake,
In some great oaks,
Left roadside,
For reflection sake

You are more than welcome,
You are more than welcome, Tibi. Love the picture, incidentally. As it so happens, at the present time I have a wonderful view of The Plough (Big Dipper) every night from my bedroom window, and also the planet Jupiter in the eastern sky is really bright thoughout this month of February.
Have a pleasant day.

My husband's the night sky
My husband's the night sky photographer in this house. He has some amazing moon shots taken with a telephoto lens.
As to your sky-watching, maybe I shan't feel so alone now when I'm stargazing in the small hours, because there's a good chance you will be too. And as you say, meditation is almost a natural progression.
